Intel Core Ultra 5 125H

The Intel Core Ultra 5 125H is a mid-range Meteor Lake family chip that debuted in December 2023. This 1st Gen Core Ultra processor has come to replace 13th generation Core chips; it has 14 cores (4 + 8 + 2) and 18 threads at its disposal. Its Performance cores, of which there are 4, are HT-enabled and run at up to 4.5 GHz while its Efficient cores, of which there are 10 (8 main cores plus 2 extra ones found in the Low Power Island), run at up to 3.6 GHz. The 7-core Arc GPU, just out of the oven, serves as the integrated graphics adapter - this runs at up to 2.20 GHz - and there is a bevy of other brand-new technologies on offer as well, including the integrated AI Boost NPU with two Gen 3 engines for hardware AI workload acceleration.

Intel Core Ultra 7 165H

Intel claims that its Core Ultra 7 165H processor provides 11% enhancement in multi-threading performance compared to rival processors such as AMD Ryzen 7 7840U, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3, and Apple's M3 chip. Additionally, it boasts a 25% reduction in power consumption compared to the previous generation Intel Core i7-1370P, and it consumes up to 79% less power than AMD Ryzen 7 7840U within the same 28W envelope designed for ultrathin notebooks.

All the new Intel CPUs will include a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for low-power AI acceleration and CPU/GPU off-load capabilities, enabling efficient execution of AI tasks like background blur, eye tracking, and picture framing. This integration is intended to enhance the efficiency of running AI models like Stable Diffusion compared to Intel's previous chip generation.

Intel Core Ultra 9 185H

The flagship Core Ultra 9 185H leads the lineup with 16 cores and 22 threads. Among these, it comprises six performance (P) cores and eight efficient (E) cores. Additionally, there are two low-power (LP-E) cores placed on the chip's "low power island," dedicated to less demanding tasks for increased efficiency. The Core Ultra 9 185H features a boost clock of up to 5.1GHz and includes a built-in Arc GPU with eight Xe cores running at speeds of up to 2.35GHz. The new Xe LPG architecture contributes to enhanced performance at a lower minimum voltage and introduces support for Intel's XeSS upscaling technology and ray tracing.
